Whitepapers¶
Whitepapers are long-form design and strategy documents for Incan. They capture cross-cutting direction, ecosystem architecture, prior art, and north-star thinking.
Whitepapers are not RFCs. They may inform RFCs, connect multiple RFCs, or explain why a family of RFCs exists, but they do not define accepted implementation requirements by themselves.
Whitepapers are more point-in-time than RFCs. Each whitepaper should carry frontmatter that records its snapshot date, status, audience, scope, related RFCs, related whitepapers, and research inputs. It should also open with an abstract that states the problem, the proposed solution shape, the research context, and the main caveat or decision pressure.
